GIS Sensor Operator

DAS Geospatial is in its’ 46th year as the most widely utilized Aerial Mapping provider in the State of Texas.  Engineers, Surveyors and Developers rely on DAS’ ability to provide precise imagery and geographic map information to help design new highways, sub-divisions, lakes, pipelines and much more.

DAS’ Production team is a highly driven group that is seeking to expand its’ production team. We are seeking motivated individuals that are available to work in the air one day, outside the next and in the office the following day.

A successful Inside candidate is one that is self-motivated and comfortable with multiple tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a pre/post-flight inspection of the sensors
  • Operate Aerial Camera & Aerial LiDAR Sensor via Helicopter computer
  • Adhere to FAA and company safety guidelines
  • Timely completion of flight and sensor logs
  • Timely completion of aerial data transfer
  • Perform post-flight aerial data QC
  • Operate UAS for Imagery, LiDAR, Thermal & Methane Sensors
  • Process Aerial Imagery
  • Process Aerial, Terrestrial & Mobile LiDAR data
  • Collect survey control/check shots using GPS equipment
  • CAD Tech using MicroStation, AutoCAD, ArcGIS
  • LiDAR Tech using TerraScan/TerraMatch
  • Participate in weekly progress and planning meetings as needed
  • Present yourself as an ambassador of DAS Geospatial who is friendly & professional
  • Conduct yourself with the highest degree of integrity

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient with computer systems and basic troubleshooting capabilities for interfaced software and hardware systems
  • Capable of lifting 50lbs
  • Safety-minded Self-motivated, competitive, with a natural drive to succeed

  • Detail-oriented, able to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
  • Flexibility to work early, late and on occasion weekends
